  14. 1       SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
  15.  
  16. This product will work on most P.C. compatible computers running Windows 3.1
  17. or later with a minimum of 8mb of ram.
  18. The program requires 256 colours or above and will operate in any resolution. However, we recommend a resolution of 800 by 600 or higher as below this the window needs scrolling to access all areas.

  20. 2       INSTALLATION AND RUNNING INSTRUCTIONS

  22. Windows 95
  23. Double-click on "Setup95.exe" in the root directory of the CD and follow
  24. the on-screen prompts. Necessary files are copied to your hard drive.
  25. Run "Pip's Picture Maker" from the "Pips Programs" group in the Programs section of the Start Menu.

  27. Windows 3.x
  28. Double-click on "Setup31.exe" in the root directory of the CD and follow
  29. the on-screen prompts. Necessary files are copied to your hard drive.
  30. Run the program by double-clicking on the icon that is set up for you.

  32. 3       USING OTHER "PIP'S PICTURE MAKER" CDs

  34. To use other "Pip's Picture Maker" CDs in the range, simply put them in your CD drive and run them as above. They do not need installing individually. The program will use the appropriate software and graphics for the CD in the drive.
  35. If you want to use a different set of graphics you can change the CD to another without quitting the application.

Note that the Pip's Picture Maker software may occasionally be updated and improved. If you use a CD containing a later version of the software you will usually be given an on-screen message and we suggest that you install the newer version. This message feature was implemented soon after the first release of Pip's Picture Maker (Pip on the Farm). If you suspect that you installed the software from an early version of Pip on the Farm, install this CD to update it.

  39. 4        THE GALLERY

  41. The first four pictures in the gallery are read off the CD and therefore cannot be altered. They are example pictures to show what can be achieved using the graphics in the package. If you want to alter and save them you must use other positions in the gallery so that they are saved to Hard Drive.
